About the Desert Rat blog
Why is this blog called DesertRat?
Because that is one of my domain names, and was the name of the company I founded while I was working as a freelance IT Consultant in the UK. Desert Rat is also the translation (kinda) of the French name for gerbils – having had some silly number of gerbils at one point, it seemed an appropriate name!
